This village is located near the Sarawak-Kalimantan border. Visit the 24-doors traditional longhouse, which was made out of woods and bamboos sometime in the 1950s. Take a short tour and learn about the history of the longhouse, including stories from the 'Confrontation',  1962 - 1966. You will also be taken on a guided walk through the nearby farmlands such as rice fields (seasonal), pepper farm, rubber plantation, tropical fruit orchards and range of local vegetables. You will experience how the Bidayuh folks prepare a native style lunch

Day 1: Mongkos Longhouse
0900hrs, pick up and depart to to Mongkos Bidayuh Village which is located near the Sarawak-Kalimantan Border and approximately 100km from Kuching. Stop over at a native market in Serian town where you may see a variety of jungle produce such as edible ferns and local fruits.

Upon arrival at Mongkos Bidayuh village, check in to your room in the village guesthouse or room in one of the village houses or longhouse. Lunch will be served. .After lunch, tour the longhouse, meet the villagers and learn about the culture and lifestyle of the Bidayuhs, who are the second largest Dayak tribe in Sarawak. Take a stroll around the village or have a swim in the nearby river. After dinner, enjoy a Cultural performance by the children in the village. Overnight at Mongkos Homestay accommodation. (Lunch/Dinner included)

Day 2 : Nature walk / farm visit / picnic lunch / Kuching
After breakfast, depart on a guided walk through nearby farms where local fruits such as Rambutan, mango, bananas, jackfruit and local vegetables are grown (crops depending on season). Visit the legendary “Batu Kapal” which is located a short distance from the village. Arrive at the picnic area by a small waterfall and enjoy a local style lunch where food will be cooked in bamboo.
After lunch, relax around the picnic area or have a swim.Depart Mongkos Village and in the afternoon return to Kuching
