On the western most tip of Sarawak's coastline lies Tanjung Datu, one of Sarawak's smallest National Parks. Tanjung Datu is beautiful; it has been called the"Hidden Paradise of Borneo" by some visitors, but is only accessible by boat. It is the juxtaposition of rugged mountains sweeping down to a clear turquoise sea that makes the place so exquisite.
It's swift flowing mountain streams are crystal clear, like the sea into which they flow. This allows coral to grow close inshore, a rare feature in Sarawak and makes it an ideal snorkeling site. However, anyone can appreciate the park's beautiful beaches and translucent waters with their mountain backdrop.
Hornbills can be sighted at Tanjung Datu, and Rafflesia flowers, among the world's biggest flowers, are found in the park and grow along the hiking trails whilst turtles makes occasional landing to lays their eggs in the golden sandy beaches.
The mountains, which form the border between Sarawak and Indonesian Kalimantan, abound with beautiful plants and interesting animals.
ITINERARY
DAY 01
9.00 am - up from hotel & proceed for approximately 2 hours drive to Sematan. - Arrival at Sematan proceed for lunch before boarding fast motorised boat for approximately 2 hours boat rise. - on arrival at Tanjung Datu, check in at Park hostel or campsite (Depend on availability). Short rest before trekking - return to park HQ after trekking & Rest - Dinner - Night forest Walk - Turtle landing observation if any on notification by Park Ranger- Overnight.
DAY 02
6.00am proceed for short trekking insearch for wildlife such as Bornean Gibbons, Black Banded Monkeys, Long & Pig tailed macaques, Hornbill birds (Tanjung Datu Boast 8 species of Hornbill birds.) - Return to Park HQ, rest & breakfast. - free and easy till time for departure by boat back to Sematan. - Lunch at Sematan and later proceed back to Kuching with drop off at hotel.
Include: Transportation, English/Malay speaking guide/ Return boat ride to Tanjung Datu & Vice Versa/02 Lunch/01 Dinner/01 Breakfast/01Night Park hostel or campsite accommodation.

DAY 03
Breakfast - Free & easy till time for departure - boat ride to Talang Talang Island, Stopover at one of the island for snorkeling (Depending on weather & Water condition) - later proceed back to Sematan - Lunch - return back to Kuching with drop off at hotel.
